Rain has again interrupted the women’s competition program, with delays and postponements causing headaches for everyone. The Golf NSW Pewter Cup, to be played in July at Ryde-Parramatta, has been rescheduled to late October. Robyn Sparling and myself were to represent The Coast, however neither of us are available for this new date. Hopefully two other members can take our place.
One event that proceeded was The Golf NSW Coronation Medal, held on 12 September. The Coast was represented by Nicole Heinrich and Carmel Fifield, who played at Concord. As well, Judy Barrett and Amanda White played at Lakeside. This is a stroke event played over two courses and our teams came in 5th overall, with a net score of 313. Well played all of you. (The winning team scored 300).
Weather permitting, we are keen to complete our remaining 2022 program of Matchplay, Medal Rounds and the Club, B and C Grade Championships.
In the meantime, everyone is looking forward to the Charity Day on 26 September – we are expecting a record number of members and visitors on the day.
