Hi Everyone
What a day at the Coast, high winds, massive seas, beanies and the ladies Pennants day. The ladies put these sort of conditions on every time they have one of these events to show other clubs what they are missing out on. ( “sea” attached photo)
However like the mailman nothing could stop the intrepid Locust from coming through with the following tasks:
· Rough cutting for 5 hours. Good to know the rough is slowing down with the cooler days.
· Contour deck cutting first line of rough and some of the smaller hills on All 18 holes
· Mowing areas around the club house
· Although t he GOATS were away some whipper snipping was done, LHS and RHS 12th, LHS and RHS 14th green and back 15th tee.
· Mulching gardens LHS 13th tee and in front 15th tee. It’s a large task with filling the trailer by loading the mulch onto the trailer with the front end loader and then spreading throughout the garden. Takes a few trips and there is more to do.
· Scott and Kerrie ( local neighour ) weeding LHS 12th and LHS 18th hill. Weeds and cuttings removed by trailer.
· Thank Bill McGregor who did spot weed spraying in some of the gardens last Friday. Bill is a valuable Locust having had a farm, can work any equipment.
· Locusts also rough cut last Thursday.
· Last Friday I looked at the LHS 6th from the path greenside down and thought how much it had changed for the better. Cheerio ( George) have created this drainage ditch following the wet weather, the GOATS had whipper snipped it and it had been rough cut. I know the area where the path meets the grass needs improving but I thought WOW I have to take a photo. ( see attached) When the golf is crap, you have to get excited about something.
