What could only be described as a perfect day at the Coast. The locusts had a massive day and achieved the following:
· Rough cut all over the course where there was any rough.
· Mulched the garden at the back of the first green
· Arthur White was back from his 8 weeks tour of Europe working more on the LHS 12th
· Ian Hamilton the terminator returned and trimmed lamandras around 17th tee lookout ( see photo)
· Cleaned up palm trees LHS and RHS 18th. See photo of walk path to 18th fairway which was also cleaned up
· Trailer loads of cuttings from 6th , 12th and 18th removed
· Wayne Tilley return to Wayne’s worlds, mowed LHS of 7th from the green back to the 100m mark, back of 9th green along water hazard, LHS of 10th tee around to start of bridge, around the LHS top of the 8th dam.
· The GOATS whipper sniped, between 14th and 15th fairway, LHS 16th , 17th hill LHS, 10 path to tee & path to 2nd tee RHS
· Other whipper snipping done LHS and RHS hill 18th
· Moved the RHS plates Blue, White and Red on the 1st tee closer to the LHS plates. Reduced tee area re safety. Balls coming from 3rd tee.
· Thank the Locusts for rough cutting last Thursday.
· Also done on the course 2nd ladies tee and 5th tee widening by Cherio and Josh placing Banksia trees front RHS 3rd tee.
Thanks,
Trevor Jay (Chief Locust)
