What a perfect sunny day at Ryde Parramatta GC. The course condition was around 80% (we have seen it better)
No excuses…Same for all.
It was very tight early on, as you would expect. Lots of nervous energy.
As the matches progressed to the pointy end, There were no obvious momentum shifts either way.
3 matches went to the 18th and 1 to the 19th.
Unfortunately it wasn’t our day.
We came away on the losing side 3-2.
Congratulations to Camden GC and good luck in the Final.
To the Coast team, I am very proud of how we all performed this year.
We were in a tough division and played amazing throughout.
This is hard to take at the moment ….. But I’m sure this group has more in the tank for 2025.
Big thank you Jess for all the help 👍🏻 very supportive and great co manager.
To all our supporters, you are an amazing bunch.
Many Thanks ❤️

1/4 Final Report 14th April 2024.
The team have had a 4 week break due to the easter holidays and also the autumn coring.
Camden GC was the neutral course which was allocated to play the 1/4 final.
We where facing a very strong team from Muirfield GC (previous winners in 2022)
Weather conditions could not have been more perfect, not a cloud in the sky and a comfortable 26c.
It was very tight early on, as you would expect…..Sudden death always brings the best and the worst golf.
But the half way scores were all leaning our way.
It was too early, to get excited…. But it felt good!
The longer the matches went on, the more determined the mixed team become.
Im so pleased to say we came away with a very impressive win.
Onward and upward.
Many thanks to our loyal supporters and team members.

Round 6 Report
Well the final week of divisional games, was ready to commence. It was always going to be a tense affair.
Cronulla needed to win, to progress. We had to win or draw to progress. Doesn’t get more exciting!
An absolute corker of a day. Lovely breeze from the north east , Just enough to make the opposition think….
The greens where running perfect (always the way just before coring)
Both teams were very evenly matched on handicaps. Not much advantage either way.
But what we had, was home advantage and more importantly amazing support from our members.
Sometimes its better to keep it short …..
The team had an amazing win on the day 5-0 !!
We now continue on into the 1/4 finals. We will find out our opponents, early next week.
Many thanks to our supporters and team members.
To the Majors Team, its quite special having you guys around on such a big day. Thank you all.

Week 5. 3rd of March 2024.
We made our way over to Wakehurst GC on a stinking hot and humid day!
Plenty of fluids on board. Prior to tee off.
Wakehurst GC is a picturesque golf course situated amongst a unique bushland setting.
Very easy on the eye. Apart from the monitor lizards that just appear from nowhere. (That can get the pulse racing!!)
The match was on a knife edge all day .
Considering Wakehurst had not won any games so far in the division.
They where definitely up for a battle.
4 of the matches where completed on the 18th green. What a great effort from the coast team.
I’m so happy to say we came away with a 3.5 to 1.5 victory !!
Many thanks to our loyal supporters and team members.

Week 4. 25th of February 2024.
The return match was on against Macquarie Links, On a picture perfect Sunday morning at The Coast.
Hardly any breeze to speak of…..(I was quite disappointed, Just quietly)
We did promise them at least 35Ks …. Well it wasn’t to be.
Comments from the away side ranged from.
“What a beautiful place to play golf”
“ I love this course”. “How good are the greens”
Its make you feel quite proud when traveling pennant players give the golf course such a rap.
The matches were evenly balanced early on, which is the norm.
We turned it on, On the back 9 and secured a very important home win 3-2 !!
Big thank you to the traveling team, They were great fun to play against.
Many thanks to our loyal supporters and team members.

Week 3. 18th of February 2024.
Well on a stinking hot day we headed out west. To challenge Macquarie Links.
Not the ideal conditions to play any sport….But all the players had carts.
Which made it bearable whilst you were moving….
Surprisingly the condition of the coarse was not what we expected.
Slow pot marked greens and preferred lies on the fairway.
Apparently Macquarie Links only have 10 lady members…..Which makes it tough for them to field a side.
I’m very happy to say the team managed to achieve a great win away from home !!!!
3 to 2 ( such a tight finish on the 18th to get victory)

ROUND 2 V Cronulla (AWAY) – 11th of February 2024.
We had our passports at the ready and made our way over the Captain Cook Bridge and into the Shire.
To go head to head with Cronulla GC.
What a picture perfect day, The Coast team settled into some warm up in the nets and chipping and putting.
Kudos to Cronulla GC on a well presented warm up area 👍🏻
The scoring cards were handed out to the team. Which all ways gives you a good indication what you’re up against.
It was going to be a tight one….with 3 matches going to 18th green and 1 to the 17th.
I’m so pleased to say the team came away with a win 3.5 to 1.5 !

ROUND ONE (HOME) vs WAKEHURST
We hosted Wakehurst GC for our 1st home game of the season.
There are 3 newbies playing this year.
Shannen Brown.
Leanne Williams
Scott Haywood
We wish them all the very best 👍🏻
The weather conditions were typical of the last couple of weeks hot, steamy and humid. All the players really appreciated the North easter once it ramped up.
It is always a blessing once the wind is siting around 35 to 40 km\ The team were calmly confident with the task ahead, This was evident at the halfway point, were all 6 pairings were leading.
I’m not big on highlighting individuals, because we are a team of 16. And everyone will be playing their part at some stage.
We came away with a solid win on the day.
A very impressive 4.5 – 0.5 .
We are all thankful to Jordan and his team for how the course was presented, especially the greens, they were true and consistent. Great job!
To all the supporters, spotters, It’s so encouraging to see you all out there, Many thanks to:
