We are less than a month away from kicking off our second season of the Young Henry’s Summer Series. Off the back of the success of Season 1 in 2023, we expect this year to be bigger and better than last year.
What is the Young Henry’s Summer Series?
The Summer Series is a Wednesday afternoon 9-Hole series.
The series runs for 11 weeks as an Individual and Team League consisting of 10 regular season rounds of 9-hole Golf, culminating in our Grand Final on “Championship Wednesday.”
How does it work?
Individual League
- Over the course of the 10 week regular season, players best 5 Stableford scores will count towards their “League Score”
- League points will roll-over to the Grand Final, where all points accrued on “Championship Wednesday” will be doubled.
Team League
- Teams consist of 5 Players (Maximum of 2 Visitors per group & and must satisfy The Coast’s Virtual Club Policy)
- Best 2 Individual Scores per week count towards the Team Weekly Score.
- Best 8 of 10 Weekly Scores count towards the League Score.
- Top 10 Teams after 10 weeks Qualify for the Grand Final on “Championship Wednesday” where the top 3 scores will count and points will be doubled (League points roll over to Grand Final).
Championship Wednesday
- Top 10 Teams will Qualify for the Grand Final on the Front-9
- Top 20 Individuals outside of Qualified Teams will also Qualify for the Grand Final
- All players that don’t Qualify for the Grand Final, will compete for the Christmas Cup on the Back 9.
- All players will tee off in a Shotgun Start at 3:30pm on Championship Wednesday.
- Golf will be followed by Presentation and end of season party.
What is new to the Summer Series?
This year, with the support of our series partners Young Henry’s, we plan to take the series to the next level.
Increased Prize Money
We will be beefing up the Prize Fund this year by introducing prize money to the Individual and Team Leagues
The Shootout Hole
We are excited to announce that this year we will be introducing the new “Shootout Hole.” Each week, the $2 Pro Pin will be split up between the Pro Pin Hole and the Shootout Hole. As usual, the NTP on the Pro Pin hole will win the weekly jackpot, however the prize pool for the Shootout hole will roll over to “Championship Wednesday” where all 10 winners throughout the season will be given 1 shot to win the Jackpot. This will take place on the 18th hole (modified tees) after the Grand Final Event in front of the gallery.
How Much Does It Cost?
Registration
All players will need to pay an $80 entry fee ($95 for visitors). This will cover your entry into the “Championship Wednesday” Event and includes Golf, Young Henry’s sponsored product, BBQ Dinner, Entertainment and Prizes.
Weekly 9-Hole Comp
- $18 Comp Fee (Includes entry into the Pro Pin & Shootout Holes)
How do i get involved?
Expressions of interest for new teams are now open. Returning teams and teams that confirm and pay for entry into the Grand Final Party will be prioritised.
